DistributorX remove Markzware range from product line up (November 02, 2009) DMN Newswire--2009-11-2--DistributorX, the technology channel source announce the removal of the Markzware range from their portfolio of more than 2,500 products with immediate effect. New unilaterally imposed purchasing and procurement procedures from Markzware have limited the ability of DistributorX to deliver products to their channel in a timely manner. Therefore, DistributorX will be offering alternative solutions which meet their channel's customer service requirements.

"We pride ourselves on being able to offer electronic and immediate delivery for the products we distribute. The publishing, pre-press and graphic design sectors are very deadline oriented, and customers need to be able to source these products in a timely manner," explains Rachel Keenan, Channel Manager for DistributorX in both the United Kingdom and the U.S. "We have endeavoured to work with Markzware after their imposition of the changes they have implemented in delivery and availability. However, they are now unable to offer their product range in a manner which allows us to make delivery to our channel partners in an acceptable timeframe."

Additionally, while Markzware's preflight and conversion tools focus primarily upon native file formats, DistributorX recognise that PDF has become the industry standard for delivering press-ready files. PitStop Pro from Enfocus, as opposed to native file checking software like Markzware's FlightCheck Professional, allows users to make edits to a PDF file at any stage-even just before press time. For instance, if a job arrives in full process colour but should have some text or elements in a spot colour then PitStop Pro is the product of choice. Users can correct text, move objects, modify colours, change particular fonts and even add missing objects at very late stages in the workflow.

"We believe that the Enfocus product range offers users the key elements in streamlining their workflows and saving both time and money," offers Greg Stodghill, Support Services Manager. "Enfocus have been a perfect source in helping us meet the demands of publishing and pre-press customers in terms of both product selection and delivery. Their product range offers customers solutions for any PDF workflow."

For more information on the Enfocus product line and other products that can expedite and automate their production, users can email info@distributorx.com or call on +44 (0)0870 458 3414 during UK business hours.
